The Middle East is a rapidly developing region where Comarch began its operations over 20 years ago. The company consistently signs new contracts and renews long-term partnerships with key telecommunications operators, providing them with the most advanced solutions available. Comarch's commitment to the digital transformation of the Middle East was recognized during the 18th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders' Summit, a prestigious event highlighting outstanding telecommunications initiatives. Comarch was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for its contribution to the success of the event.

Toni Eid, founder of Telecom Review Group, commented on this recognition: "We are pleased to present Comarch with our Certificate of Appreciation. Their support and commitment to the development of connectivity and innovation played a key role in making the 18th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders' Summit a platform for shaping the future of the ICT and telecommunications industry."

During the same event, Comarch and du, one of the leading telecommunications operators in the United Arab Emirates, were awarded the title of "Best Digital Transformation Provider – Middle East" as part of the Telecom Review Excellence Awards 2024.

Comarch was also recognized with another prestigious award in the Middle East. In February 2025, company representatives received a statuette at the Asian Telecom Awards 2025 in the category of "Digital Initiative of the Year – United Arab Emirates". This award once again acknowledged the successful collaboration between Comarch and du.

The Middle East as a market for innovation

Comarch has been operating in the Middle East since 2004, serving clients in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar. The company currently has three regional offices – two in the UAE and one in Saudi Arabia. Its operations in the region are also supported by two modern data centers, ensuring the highest service standards.

Paweł Workiewicz, Chief Commercial Officer of the Telecommunications Division at Comarch, emphasizes the importance of local experience and presence in the region: "The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing telecommunications markets in the world. Thanks to our experience, innovative products, and support from local teams, we can deliver solutions perfectly tailored to the needs of operators and their customers."

A leading position in the telecommunications sector

Comarch provides advanced telecommunications solutions, including BSS/OSS systems, which help operators automate processes, manage networks, and quickly introduce innovative services. Through collaborations with clients such as Etisalat by e&, du and STC, the company supports digital transformation in the Middle East, enabling operators to optimize their digital infrastructure using the latest available technologies.

Customer service solutions allow operators to expand their service offerings rapidly while enhancing end-user satisfaction. Their flexibility enables the creation of diverse and attractive offers. Meanwhile, AI-based network management systems increase automation and autonomy of infrastructure, perfectly addressing the needs of this dynamically developing region.

Opportunities and challenges in the Middle Eastern telecommunications market

Comarch’s over 20 years of presence in the Middle East has provided deep insights into the characteristics of the local telecommunications market. This market stands out from Europe and Asia with several unique features. A young, tech-savvy population exhibits high mobile penetration rates, while fixed Internet access remains limited in some areas. These conditions foster innovation in mobile technologies, making the region one of the most dynamic tech markets in the world.

However, the market also faces significant challenges. Fierce competition among key players leads to intense price rivalry and pressures the industry to rapidly introduce innovations in both services and process automation. While technologies such as 5G and IoT are gaining traction, their commercial viability in less urbanized areas remains a challenge. Additionally, strict regulations regarding data localization and cybersecurity complicate cloud solution deployments, requiring the development of tailored and secure technologies.

Comarch’s future growth in the Middle East

In the coming years, Comarch plans to further develop its offers, focusing on customer service solutions and advanced network management systems.

Szymon Uczciwek, Vice President, Business Growth & Strategy – MEA at Comarch, stated: "The Middle East market is an incredibly promising sector for telecommunications companies. Growing investments in artificial intelligence and digital transformations create excellent conditions for delivering innovative technologies, which Comarch successfully implements in collaboration with local market leaders."

The Middle East is not only a dynamic and promising market for telecommunications operators but also for advanced technology providers. This is a region that simultaneously embraces the future while facing unique challenges, making it highly attractive to global companies and investors.
