Comarch Helps E-Plus Group Increase Network Efficiency with NG Performance Management

Two businessmen shake hands over a table while colleagues clap in a bright, modern office with large windows.

Comarch helps E-Plus Group transform their network performance management landscape, leading to improved customer experience and lower operational costs.

Comarch, a global software house and system integrator announced today that E-Plus Group, the third largest mobile operator in Germany, has decided to deploy the Next Generation Performance Management system. The driver for the implementation of the solution is to increase the efficiency and visibility of current network performance processes, thus allowing the operator to manage the end-to-end performance of its entire network. Replacing the previous, silo-based IT landscape with the new system will also enable E-Plus to better correlate network events, which is a key element of providing a comprehensive view of network performance. Together with the previously deployed Comarch Next Generation Network Planning, the operator will be able to identify the necessity for network upgrades, plan them, set them up and as a result, ensure better customer experience.

According to the agreement, the  Performance Management platform will be implemented in a Managed Services model and thus will be hosted in the Comarch Data Center. This model allows E-Plus Group to decrease time-to-market for new technologies, vendors, software releases and features, while keeping operational costs low. Comarch takes end-to-end responsibility for the project, with KPIs defined in the ITIL and time-to-market areas, and will also provide integrations and upgrades, as well as define KPIs and deliver reports. The Performance Management system is delivered with a partnering company, Mycom.

"Having had a very positive experience with Comarch as a partner in previous OSS transformation projects, we decided to cooperate with them again for a project that aims to rebuild our current IT landscape in the area of network performance. Monitoring the performance of a multi-vendor and multi-technology network has become very demanding and its main focus has shifted from network KPIs to customer service quality KPIs. This project enables us to fulfill a strategy of offering our customers high quality, innovative services, sooner than our competitors do," says Gehard Lüdtke, Director of Access and Transport Networks at E-Plus Group.

"Network performance has become a crucial element in each service provider’s business, as it is one of the key elements of providing first-class customer experience. On top of that, having our own Data Center enables us to offer E-Plus Group another benefit in the form of low operational costs. By taking responsibility for defining and measuring KPIs, we continue to support E-Plus Group with all our experience in this strategic area of their business," says Marcin Dąbrowski, OSS Business Unit Director at Comarch.
