Comarch Has Joined BREKO Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V. to Advance Fiber Network Development in Germany

The German Broadband Association (BREKO), which represents the majority of German fixed network operators, has welcomed Comarch as its new member. The company will help the BREKO spread fiber connectivity coverage and strengthen competition in the German telecommunications market.

BREKO Bundesverband Breitbandkommunikation e.V., renowned for its commitment to ensuring reliable fiber connection for all German households and promoting a competitive market, collaborates closely with local, federal, and EU regulatory bodies to create the optimal frameworks for fiber optic expansion for its member companies. The BREKO also hosts various events and produces educational materials to promote knowledge and help operators expand regional fiber network coverage.

BREKO’s member network operators are responsible for two-thirds of the investments in fiber optic expansion in Germany to create a strong foundation for fiber network infrastructure and actively improve the availability of high-speed Internet. By joining the association, Comarch will benefit from access to expert knowledge of local legal issues, BREKO's close cooperation with EU regulatory bodies, technical trends and development of business models. As a member of the organization, Comarch will also participate in BREKO’s working groups, annual meetings, and other events, such as the fiberdays trade fair.
